a journey of 1000 steps
to begin is tough
to continue sometimes harder
to end never comes.
our lives comprised of steps
different directions
different paces at certain times
but one, then the next
to keep my eyes set
to remember my goal
He is my urging
He is my end
there's always more
He promises good to me
a Fatherly love abounding
taking my hand
freedom to choose
faith to empower
His Spirit to direct
His love to cover
A journey of 1000 steps
taken one after another
He being for me,
I live in this journey.
